Tell Congress: Stop Trump’s Proposed EPA Cuts

Trump is trying to gut the very agency that keeps our air breathable and our water safe—and frontline communities will be hit first and worst.

Trump’s latest budget proposal would slash billions from the Environmental Protection Agency, alongside deep cuts to NOAA and FEMA. The plan eliminates major climate and environmental justice programs, weakens pollution enforcement, and reduces the government’s ability to respond to environmental disasters—just as extreme weather and toxic exposure are increasing.

Congress—not the president—holds the power of the purse. Lawmakers write and pass the appropriations bills that determine how much funding agencies like the EPA actually receive. That means they have both the authority and the responsibility to reject Trump’s proposed cuts, restore funding for critical programs, and ensure that environmental protections are not sacrificed to political priorities.

If Congress chooses to act, these cuts can be stopped before they ever take effect. Tell Congress: “Reject Trump’s EPA cuts. Protect clean air, safe water, and environmental justice for every community.”

For decades, low-income communities and communities of color have been forced to live with the highest levels of pollution and the fewest protections. Slashing EPA funding now would deepen those inequities, stripping away the limited safeguards that exist and leaving families even more vulnerable.

Congress has the power to stop this. Lawmakers can block these cuts, restore funding for environmental protection, and ensure that polluters—not communities—bear the cost of cleanup and compliance. But they will only act if we demand it.

We cannot allow this administration to dismantle environmental protections while communities suffer the consequences.

Add your name now and tell Congress: Stop Trump’s EPA cuts. Defend environmental justice, protect public health, and hold polluters accountable—before the damage is done.
